From the very beginning of its existence, Jazzpospolita has operated against the grain-defying associations, trends, and even its own name. By constantly balancing between genres, the band has managed to develop a distinctive and recognizable sound of its own. Post, avant, pre, trans, prog, soft, hard? Jazz, rock, ambient, minimal, trip-hop? The number of labels attached to Jazzpo’s music is genuinely hard to list. Can they all really be held together by a single jazz framework?

Jazzpo’s compositions - rich in harmony, dynamics, and melody - evolve depending on the needs of the moment. Thanks to this flexibility and sonic diversity, Jazzpospolita is warmly received on club stages, at festivals, and in concert halls alike.

Seventeen years of artistic activity, nine albums, and several hundred concerts as part of international tours - this is the shortest possible summary of Jazzpospolita’s career. Over the years, the band has performed at events such as the London Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Jazz Comblain, Open’er Festival, Męskie Granie, Jazz Jamboree, Match & Fuse, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Garana Jazz, and Kaliningrad City Jazz. The band’s live performances were recognized by the editorial team of Polish Radio Program Three, which named Jazzpospolita the Concert Discovery of the Year in 2011. Their concert at the Męskie Granie finale in 2012 was attended by over 10,000 people. In 2015, Jazzpospolita became one of the first Polish bands to tour China, a journey documented by the album Jazzpo! Live Made in China. In 2011, the group also won the Audience Award at the 9th Silent Film Festival for Best Live Music to Picture.

A defining feature of the band remains its strong commitment to both studio work and live performance.

Between 2023 and 2025, as part of the “Obiekt Na Żywo” tour, Jazzpospolita played several dozen concerts in Poland, Germany, and China. In 2026, the band releases its latest album, titled Kosmopolis.
